Technology Today In Tanzania

Tanzania is a beautiful country located in East Africa border Kenya Northward, Indian Ocean on East side, Congo on West and Mozambique at South. Development of technology in Tanzania today is the result of the increase in, Cellular network, Broadcasting Services, Internet services, Postal services, Migration and Interactions of people.

3G and 4G Mobile technology are all available in Tanzania.

Technology is the collection of skills, techniques and processes or methods used in production of goods or services.

Broadcasting Services, Tanzania counting 46 broadcasting TV stations in 2016 from 40 in 2010. This is according to TCRA quarterly statistics report of December 2016.

Internet services, one of the fast growing service in Tanzania is internet. The number of internet subscription is very high compared to normal bundle subscription. In 2015 number of subscribers ere 34% of total population, but now they count up to 40% in 2026, this is according to TCRA quarterly statistics of 2016 December.

As a visitor you now don’t have to worry about how to communicate with your family or friends from outside, Tanzania has got bunch of Cellular Network operators that offer a sufficient Telecom services,  which are wide spread throughout the country, such as Halotel,  Airtel, Vodacom, Tigo, smart, TTCL, Zantel which is wide used in Zanzibar but also available to Tanzania mainland. There are also some of cellular network operators that offer 2G, 3G and 4G mobile technology such as Tigo, TTCL, Zantel and Vodacom the technology is rapid growing and soon all operators will have the 4G mobile technology.
